Installation testing

Image
The past few days we have been gathering equipment such as projectors, speakers and amps in order to fulfil this installation. We have been testing the placement of projectors and the areas on which the video will display on. Chris also bought in his guitar amp to help us produce the sound out of the speakers with the help of an aux cord. Testing out the timing of the videos and audio is also a major part of this project.  Here are some stills from the videos displayed on the wall.

Additional Footage

Aidan Editing footage Along with our footage that we shot. Aidan also managed to find archive footage that we are able to use in the Video for this installation. It allows us to really set the scene and atmosphere as it adds to the history of the allegations and abuse. Screenshot of archive footage being edited into our video.

Editing, Editing, Editing!

Image
This week is full of edits, pulling our last few bits together with our audio and visuals. We split the workload down the middle having Niamh and Chris on audio and Leah and Aidan on visuals. For editing the visuals, Aidan and I edited on Premiere Pro, keeping in check with Niamh and Chris about what they feel works best. Using the footage we shot over the past few weeks, creating a visual aid for our compelling audio. We used a film reel on our video to create an old looking effect mixed with old archive footage from Dublin in the 1960's to add even more to the effect. Leah's Editing: Aidan's Editing:
