Research For Prototype

We started off by going to the Science Gallery Dublin. This was one of the better one for installations. We gained a better insight into how an installation can be presented and received by an audience. We also got to experience what works and what doesn't when it comes to an interactive experience. The main installations we got inspiration from were;   Hello Machine - Rachel Hanlon. An interactive phone call with callers from around the world with a physical old-age telephone. This showed us how interactive pieces are more effective to a user than a 2D or representational piece. PillowTalk - Joanna Montgomery. Connecting two people who can't be in the same place at the same time, through their heartbeats. Using wristbands to pick up the heartbeats, transmitting it to the others pillow so they can hear it when they sleep. This showed us how effective audio can be to an experience to connect a user.
